Civic Headlights (extreme makeover)

So about a month ago I decided to tackle this project.



I thought it was going to be a project, not impossible. As I was polishing the car, I kept bringing out more and more knicks, small deep scratches, and other junk. I knew it had a bunch of scratches, I didn't know it had that many. Along with the clear coat failing on the hood, front and rear bumper falling off, bunch of dents, well let's just say its going to take more than polishing to get it how I want it. Anyways the headlights were the best part.

great work! did you just polish up the outside or did you open up the headlights and clean inside & out?

If you did open the headlight to clean inside, what did you use to clean the chrome reflector?

ACleanSC4 - I only polished the outsides of the headlight.

pimpciv98 - I am not sure, I don't own the car, so I don't know. But the one I am about to post, the owner says it helps with viibility ALOT.

TripleDES _ Pretty Simple. Cutting Mosse on a Cutting pad, then on to M-9 on a polishing pad. Then lastly your favorite wax. You may want to give 2-3 applications of cutting before you move to polishing if the lights are bad enough.

Great job there mschoelen, it looks like you installed a new set of head lights. Great save!
