Clay bar size?

Hi all,

How many grams are the clay bars in the smooth surface clay kit? Also, would I be able to use the mild (blue) detailing clay instead of the smooth surface clay, so I can just buy the clay seperate from the rest of the stuff? Or is the blue more aggressive than the smooth surface clay? Thanks!

Hi Lydia,

The are are 2 each 50 gram pieces of clay in Smooth Surface Clay Kit!!

As far as the blue Mirror Glaze clay (C2000) goes, it is one step more aggressive than the white clay, and you shouldn't have any issues using it.

BTW - The blue mild clay is 1 each 200 gram piece.

If you don’t need that bit of extra aggressiveness the blue clay offers the best deal is the Quik Clay Kit. The Quik Clay Kit has half as much clay as the C2000 but it costs less than half as much money and you get the QD thrown in with it.

Joe Consumer may benefit form the towel, the wax sample and the bars being pre-split in the Smooth Surface Kit but you already have those covered so you might as well pocket the price difference.

I bought two smooth surface kits only to realize that the quick clay kit would be cheaper. I already got bunch of towels. Probably will never use that small of an amount of cleanerwax so eh.
