As always, a very informative class. Man, there is just soooo much to learn and absorb when it comes to creating that perfect finish but these clinics impart so much knowledge I don't know what I'd do without them! Mike, once again you did an awesome job of making everything very clear, very concise. Well done!!

I really enjoyed today's class and learned quite a bit from the power point presentation, particularly about the products and what they are designed to accomplish. Before I attended my first Meguiar's event, an open garage a few months ago, I had very little knowledge about Meguiar's products. I would hear about them on the "other" message boards which I frequented but remained disinterested in a system in which the products were referred to by an unfriendly and seemingly unrelated system of numbers.
I would see the consumer line products in the automotive stores but I still wasn't lured by what seemed to me to be "low end" products. After all, if you could buy them at WalMart they couldn't possibly be as good as the stuff you had to get by mail order!
Well a few sessions with Mike Phillips has changed my outlook completely! I have become a total convert! Sure, the numbers can still be confusing but I don't need to know about every product and I also have come to realize that between 83, 80 and 21 and proper use of my DA polisher I can keep my car looking great! (Which it does, doesn't it?)
I should also say that I am not as devoted to those "other" detailing message boards as I used to be as I can get all the information I really need from Meguiar's Online.
Thanks Mike, for a great class today, although waving that can of 16 just out of reach of my outstretched arms was beyond cruel!

After pizza lunch it was time to head out to Meguiar's Garage to put what we learned in the classroom into practice including hands-on training with Meguiar's G100 Dual Action Polisher.






The sun was hiding today so we used the Swirl Finder to try to highlight the before and after results. The left hand side is before and the right hand side was polished out using ScratchX with a W-8006 foam polishing pad on the G100 at the 5.0 speed setting.




Even thought the sun was hiding, here's a shot taken from overhead showing 3 sections we worked on, the upper left is ScratchX by machine, the upper right is M80 by machine and the lower left section is ScratchX by hand.

What else can I say? The class is great with full of useful information, Mike is super as always with full of energy and interactive fun method of teaching, and people are incredible friendly and eager to learn even some of us hearing the same information for a few times already! Everytime I come to Meguiars, I learn something new or something that I already know but often overlook or forget.
I highly recommend anyone who want to learn proper technique to have show car finish attend the Sat's class and use Meguiar's products. I know I'm hook on Meguiars now!

Thank you Mike and Meguairs! I can't wait to get my DA polisher. It was my first class and I was really impressed with the Training room and Garage, really a first class operation. Learn a lot on what product to use too.

this was my first time attending this class and cant wait to go again. i learned alot of on the different type of products and about their results. thank to mike for letting my use and get a feel of the d/a. cant wait to purchase my own d/a and try it on my car. keep up the good work mike and thanks
