If you find a post usefull then you can give th poster "rep" by clicking on the image on that post.
Like wise if some ones post is uncalled for and not in line with the Forums policies, Then you click on the little to report the post.

Instead of typing up how the Rep Power System works, here's a link that will explain it that's already typed up.

To be honest, most people don't use it and we can make it disappear with a click of the mouse. It's kind of one of those "Bells & Whistles" add-on that came with the forum when we upgraded.

Comments? Suggestions? Recommendations?

I think the green dot means that you are online and signed in.

That dot has to do with your reputation. If you have zero rep, it will say kellyinkc is an unknown quantity at this point. If you have some reputation, it will say kellyinkc is on a distinguished road. If you have more it will say something else. I think if you get a lot of good rep, you will get another green dot, and more as you get more good reps.
