  • I just bought the second G100 kit on A.D.S. and want some advice.....

I just bought the second G100 kit from A.D.S. and I also added M83 and the training video. Below is what it comes with. Anyway, I have always been a Zaino guy and am going to give Meguiars a shot. Am I missing anything? Also, if I want to stick with Zaino for the final finish, can I still use 83 and 80 to get out swirls and water spots? I look forward to spending more time on this forum, I am glad it is very professional. Many Auto forums I go on are a bunch of Punk kids that just bash each other. Thanks

One more thing, I have heard NXT wax is very difficult to get off once it is put on. If that is the case I will only use the NXT on my Miata and maybe get #21 for my BMW, what do you all think.

NXT is very easy to get off... you just need to put it on THIN! Plus, with the DA, it should be rather effortless. a THIN coat is the key though. Use the 9006 pad to apply it on speed 3, then after it dries (search for SWIPE test), use a MF bonnet to remove the wax on speed 5.

Good luck and show us some pics!

I've only used #20 and not the newer #21, but the #21 has a very good reputation for being a good sealant.
But, you already have the NXT so I would use it. It has never been difficult for me to remove, but I do apply thin coats of all products.

Use your NXT since you have it... IMO its one of the easiest waxes to remove at lease from the ones I have used.

You can use Zaino as your final step, there might even be a few on MOL that do that. Of course Meguiars recommends their line of waxes.

If you really like the final look of Zaino, that's cool, but I think you'll find it taken to a whole new level after polishing the car properly with the G-100 and M80. Any wax or sealant, regardless of who makes it, will look far better on a properly prepped surface. You are now moving into the world of proper prep, so good for you.

As for the NXT, as has been mentioned already it really is very easy to remove. Honestly, whoever told you that it's difficult to remove was either lying to you, had applied it way too thick, or didn't wait for it to haze before trying to remove it. It simply isn't true. There is also a bit of a misconception about NXT regarding it's longevity. It's quite common for people to state that NXT only lasts a couple of weeks and this is because they notice either a reduction in water beading or a bit of a decrease in gloss. While this does sometimes occur, it by no means indicates that the NXT is gone. According to Meguiar's, NXT offers the longest lasting "protection" of any wax/sealant in their lineup. Most people just think "beading = protection" and that isn't necessarily the case. You can always follow up with NXT Spray Wax between full wax applications to keep that "just waxed" look. It's a very quick process, not much longer than a good quick detail spray on the entire vehicle.
