3 weeks old--used once. I broke it out today and it seems like any pressure I put on it stops it from spinning. I put a little mark on the top of the pad to make sure it wasn't an optical illusion. Seems like first time I used it almost no amount of pressure could keep it from spinning. It spins fine if I don't have it on a surface at all. Think something is wrong, or am I cracking up?

Re: G100 vibrating but not spinning anymore?
You are most likely putting too much pressure on, for removing defects you should be at around 15-20lbs of pressure on the head of the polisher.
Read this to help get and understanding, scroll down until you see the picture of the scale.
Hope this helps!!Attack life, it's going to kill you anyway.

Re: G100 vibrating but not spinning anymore?
Here's the vid. It's set on 4.25. How many RPMs should I see at around 5lbs of pressure? In the vid I go from barely touching to maybe 10 pounds max as judged by my scale. Maybe it's supposed to rotate this slow? Upside: I can see my reflection in my hand

Re: G100 vibrating but not spinning anymore?
Thanks so much for your help. I worked on a carbon fiber hood today that was totally messed up and the G + 83 made it look worse, but that's a topic for another discussion. I'll post a new thread with pics of that.

Re: G100 vibrating but not spinning anymore?
Well I first thing I noticed is that the pad is not very well centered. That maybe a contributing factor. I know with my G100 if I dont have the pad centered and not flat on the surface I am working on I dont get much rotation ether. You left out licking the water off. Oh, wait a minute, that's my cat, not my car. Uh, I mean my cat licks himself dry. I don't lick my cat dry. Or my car. -PC.

Re: G100 vibrating but not spinning anymore?
If the polisher was set on the 5.0 setting, (it was hard to see the number), the it doesn't sound right, not enough power.
We've had a couple of brand new units that right out of the box didn't work proplerly and we sent them back.
From the sound and appearance of the G100/PC in that video, it didn't look or sound right to this person.
