    Renny Doyle
As many of you know, I have been in and around the detailing industry for many years. I started as a kid washing aircraft and that passion developed into a business. I have been involved within dozens of business start-ups. Believe me not all of them could be classified as a success but I learned as much or more from these failures as I have from my true successes. When I launched Attention To Details I had lost every dime to my name and launched my detail business with less then $20.00. Since that time I have been blessed to have grown a business that has detailed some of the most exotic vehicles on earth while assisting others at creating profitable detailing businesses of their own.

    Renny Doyle

    Mike Phillips
Mike Phillips started detailing as a teenager like most of us by maintaining his families cars. In high school, he saved his money for a custom hot rod red paint job on his 1948 Plymouth Coupe which he hand-rubbed to a high gloss finish through a multiple-step paint polishing process not knowing that this would be just the first time in a long career that would lead him to teaching thousands of people how to do the same thing. By 1980 Mike wet-sanded - compounded - and machine polished his first car... a 1974 Triumph Spitfire that he also painted himself.

In 1988 Mike started his professional efforts working with industry giant Meguiar's Inc. covering Oregon, Washington and Northern Idaho as a Sales Rep and Trainer.

In 1990 Mike started his first detail shop in Washington State. In the Mid 90s when the Internet first appeared - Mike took part in some of the very first online detail forums posting how-to information and answering questions on which Meguiar’s products to use and in which order to use them in order to get show car results. During all this time he continued to detail special interest cars and teach hands-on how-to classes for car clubs in Oregon and Washington.

In 2002 Mike went to work for Meguiar’s as their Corporate Writer and then transitioned to their "Internet Technical Specialist". He became the Instructor for the “Saturday Classes” and also for their Wednesday night “Open Garage” classes. Mike is a tremendous asset to our industry and we are excited to have him involved with the Detailing Success Business Conference.

    Walt Stanckiewitz
Walt was my first mentor and someone I respect to no end. Walt was Vice President of Human Resources for a tech firm but in the late eighties Walt was burned and ready to go solo. Walt and his wife Monique own La Pasta Italia and manufacture fresh pasta products and ravioli for some of the finest restaurants in Southern California. You may ask what does this pasta guy have to do with detailing? Walt is a master at receiving free press in major newspapers and local television. This one fact has changed not only Walt and Monique’s business; it’s changed the way I do business. Walt’s message and examples are incredible to hear!

    Walt Stanckiewitz

    Prentice St. Clair
As many of you know, Prentice is one of the most recognizable names within the industry. While we only met a year ago - I can tell you that Prentice is the real deal! Prentice St. Clair is the president of Detail in Progress Inc., whose mission it is to "enhance the profitability of the automotive reconditioning industry through empassioned training and consulting." Prentice is known for his prolific writing in the industry's trade magazines as well as many speaking engagements at annual conventions of the International and Western Carwash Associations.

    Prentice St. Clair

    Joe "Jose" Fernandez
Joe’s love for cars started when he worked with his father in his body shop when he was about six or seven years old. His duties then among other things were to sand and mask off cars to get them ready for paint. It wasn’t too long until Joe was painting and polishing the vehicles himself. Joe became an auto detailer at the famous Hill and Vaughn restoration facilities in Marina Del Rey California. Joe had the privilege to work on many fine and historically significant vehicles. Soon thereafter Joe started his own business; “Fernandez Detailing" which grew into Superior Shine. Today Superior Shine works on a wide range of vehicles including extreme exotics!

    Joe "Jose" Fernandez

    Dan Ekenberg
Dan and I met nearly three years ago when I became an advertiser on his website. I had no idea he lived within the same state or that I would develop a deep respect for both his abilities and talents. Dan had a long career in Retail Management right out of high school. In 1993 Dan had the opportunity to purchase a Mobile Detailing Business which he ran successfully until 1996 when he sold the business. “I desired to keep working within my own business and Mobileworks.com was created back when the internet was just an infant”.

Since then Dan has created several additional websites each serving many aspects of the car care industry and in 2005 was voted one of the most influential people within the detailing industry by Professional Car Washing & Detailing Magazine. Dan is a dedicated father and a mentor when it comes to balancing life while maintaining a successful business!

Joe you are being modest...for those that do not know...Joe is presenting at the event!

If you have not heard and seen Joe in action...he is missing his calling as the guy draws crowds and is as funny as all get out!

Aside from Joe's humor I am excited to hear his input as a speaker sharing some of the highs and lows within his professional journey of detail business ownership.

I just attended the first day and it was AWESOME!! Renny, you did an incredible job at putting on this event. I learned so much about the business of detailing. Although the content of "Retail Detailing" didn't exactly pertain to my own detailing business, there was a lot of information that helped me clarify things, provide inspiration, and most of all will help me take my own detailing business to the next level. I wish I could have attended todays seminars but I can't mess with the "missus's golf day".

Yesterday was MY day and the event was well worth it.

Re: Detailing Success Seminar - March 31st

The conference was an absolutely phenomenal event!

FOR DETAIL TECHS BY DETAIL TECHS!!

With over 19 years of detailing under my belt, this conference filled a void on the business side of things that needed to be addressed.

I learned out of this world, tested and proven “secrets” that can’t be anything a major boost to my business. Most are very simple, low cost and are right in front of our faces. I have read allot of books on business, sales and marketing and this conference smokes them.

I am not sure which I enjoyed more, the topics or the networking with a super bunch of speakers and attendees.

We agree with Joe and Richard, there was so much information presented on the business side of running a profitable detailing business for both Mobil Detailers and owners of brick & mortar detail shops.

Renny and team are planning on another seminar on the east coasts and after the success of this seminar we're sure there's going to be more in the future. A lot of companies use the catch-phrase

                      "Work smarter not harder"

This seminar really does teach you to work smarter and not harder. Knowledge is power and the knowledge you'll gain in the nuts & bolts of running the business side of your business is more important than knowing how to run a buffer. If you have a detailing business or are thinking about starting a detailing business, you need this class.

Nick, you would have loved this class, especially now that you've taken the step to invest in and equip a Mobile Detailing Van. Luckily, Richard Lin video taped the first day and Renny's planning on making a copy of this tape available in the future.

Definitely would have been beneficial to myself with this new business. There was just no way I was going to get free from work. I tried until the very last day I could to take some vacation time or trades with co-workers. Spring time brings thunderstorms accross the US, and thunderstorms=busy times in the airline industry

Would love to get my hands on a copy of that tape, but I don't want to do it illegally. So, as long as the people involved are willing to release the tape, I would love to have a copy or be able to sit down and watch it.

No worries, Renny's going to edit it and make it for sale.

Here's a few pictures, kind of hard to capture the fun and excitment by taking a picture from the back of a classroom but it was defintily one of the best "Hard Information" classes this guy has ever particpated in.
