  • Detailed 1994 Porsche Turbo

Well I'm not known much for using Meguiars products and this is the first time I am posting up here any of my work and while I did not use any Meguiars products I did get a chance to use two pads from Meguiars, the yellow polishing and beige finish pad.

A friend had some products that we were interested in trying out so he came over and had some pads we also tried out.

The victim was a 1994 Porsche Turbo 3.6 in single stage Signal Green. It had some marring, deep random scratches and some environmental issues also like water spotting/pitting.

I did 90% of the correction work to final finishing work with one product, Optimum Polish. Some areas had to have some of the Optimum Hyper and regular Compound as they needed some extra nudging

I found the Meguiars pads to perform nicely with the Optimum polishes. No sling and the yellow pad worked a lot like the white polishing pad from Lake Country which I prefer to use on Porsche 911 paint. I'm not sure though that the yellow pad will do much on the Porsche Cayenne paint....I may need to try the burgandy pad for that paint.

The paint was then sealed with 4 coats of Opti-Seal.

I apologize for having no outside sun shots but it rained all day today so I only have inside pictures and I really hate those types of pics as it never shows the true nature of the paints condition. So on Monday I hope to get some sun and see how it looks....it could be swirled to hell for all I know

Well, here are a couple of pictures

Yeah the color is not for everyone but for me....it would look best in MY garage!

Great job on a beautiful ride. One of these days you should give some Meguiar's M80 or M83 a shot on those Meguiar's pads. Great stuff.

Yes, kicking that car out of the garage because of its color would be like kicking Jessica Alba out of bed for eating crackers.

            Thanks gentleman, appreciate the compliments.

The owner of the car is well pleased and I'm gonna see if he wants to enter it into a local concours coming up for Fiesta. It's sure to draw a crowd.....I'll park it next to a Speed Yellow Turbo that I also detail.....it'll almost be like Christmas

Thanks again, Happy Easter to you all
