I use the gun as a presoak. Instead of using water to get the car wet, I use the foam. It has more lubricity and its just safer to use than plain water. I soak entire car in foam and then go back and wash it regularly. Some people also foam the car then use the foam thats on the car to wash so it eliminates the bucket with soapy solution. Youd still need a bucket to rinse your mitt.

Yeah, I pre-soak if it is really dirty, not so much for just light dust. But rather than using a soapy water bucket, I put the soap on the highest ratio, and spray one panel and my pad, and wash that. Flip pad over for next panel, soap those and wash. Then put the pad in the rinse water bucket, etc, etc.
Th3 f0am gun r0x0rs in places that you can't get too also. Great for cleaning the underbody during that spring cleaning! I think its ok on paint, but a power washer does a better job at getting the initial grit off.
I got mine from AutoGeek. Powerwashers are good but also bad. All that pressure is slamming onto the dirt and grit and it has no where to go but into your paint. Foam gun has less pressure and uses soap which adds lubricity so it helps slide the dirt off instead of blasting it into the paint. Just extra measures to keep it swirl free.

If you start the power washer on glass and move over to other areas, you flood the dirt off. Its not like you are pulsing water on top of dirt. You move the wand from clean to dirty, you can actually see the dirt being lifted from behind. Its worked for me and I have no swirls, in fact I have never heard of someone getting swirls from using a power washer.
I'm up for wherever. I'm pretty booked up in the evenings this week. Saturday, before heading over to Richard's place might be a plan. My place isn't too far from there (but my driveway gets full sun anytime past 08:30).
It'll probably perform a little differently if your local water pressure or pipe size is significantly less than what I've got. Might be worth trying at your home first.

We can talk about it Thursday night.
PC.
Sounds like a plan!
You left out licking the water off. Oh, wait a minute, that's my cat, not my car. Uh, I mean my cat licks himself dry. I don't lick my cat dry. Or my car. -PC.
I have always wondered what Super Soap would be like in the gun. Says lots of suds but rinses easily? Would almost be a practical joke if the suds hit the car and rinsed away at the same time.

For a presoak, wonderful soap. Suds well and for the price, its a good soap. However I would not use it if I was actually going to wash the car only with the foam gun.

Add in some non spotting rinse agent and you could wash your car in about a minute and a half without even touching it. But where's the fun in that???
