    Ford Focus Extreme Makeover

    Here are a few pictures from a Ford Focus I just did for a lady. It is a 2002 that has spent most of its life in a WALMART parking lot!
    The owner THOUGHT she last ran in thru an automatic carwash the week before Christmas! It had never been hand-washed, and the only "wax" the car has ever seen was the "hot wax" at an automatic carwash.

    Sounded like a good place to practice my PC skilz...

    Here's a few "before pictures"...

    The junk down the back is windshield washer fluid residue from the rear wiper...




    Here's what I had after a quick wash-off at the local coin-op. I like to use it to clean floormats, wheelwells, and remove the "big chunks". It barely even TOUCHED some of the spotting/stains...




    And now for the AFTER pictures...
    I spent about 7-1/2 hours total. Handwashed with NXT wash, including a soap change halfway thru. Absolutely TRASHED a brand-new claybar , but it made a HUGE difference! Scratch-X on the bad spots. #83 on the hood & hatch, #80 the whole car, 2 coats of NXT. Plus other assorted products (as pictured).

    Nice job! It was in pretty bad shape but you really did a great job.

      Nice transformation!! Man, that's a long time to go without washing a car though - !!!

      Oh, and is it fair to assume from her license plate that this was a rather petite woman?

        Awesome results !
        Some people just don't care about their car. In Canada, it's understandable that people can't wash the car in the winter because of the cold, but in Kansas...

          She said that she just didn't like going to the carwash... I guess everyone can't be car crazy! Probably the only thing that "saved" the car is that her commute is only 10-15 miles/day.

          Yep, she's all of "4 foot 11 inches"

          People did give me (5'9") rather strange looks as I was driving the car back & forth!

            WOW!!! Amazing transformation!! That was a lot of water spots and a long time to not have your car washed.

              You left out licking the water off. Oh, wait a minute, that's my cat, not my car. Uh, I mean my cat licks himself dry. I don't lick my cat dry. Or my car. -PC.

                      What a transformation. You made it look better than new. Couldn't believe the water spots. Great work. Way to go.
