What's the difference between NXT Tech Wax and NXT Generation Tech Wax 2? I read the product announcement but so? what does it mean to me? is it for a different generation? does it last longer? does it shine better? does it fill better? does it clean better? does it come off easier? does it smell better? does it enhance color better?

I would like to know as well. Although the package price for the line is a deal. I don't want to purchase it without knowing what improvements have been made (specifically) to the previous NXT line. Thanks -

NXT 2.0 contains much of the same hydrophobic polymer technology used in Ultimate Quik Detailer. If you haven't tried this product yet you should. Its ability to shed water is amazing. We played around with some of it at Meguiar's open garage one night before it was released and saw some pretty amazing stuff. One of the forum members took some video and put it up on YouTube - check these out:

For everyone reading this thread, the above link to the class Buellwinkle attended is a really good read, lots of interesting comments throughout the thread. It's hard to believe this class was held on Nov 20th, 2004, 02:59 PM that's over 3 years ago!

Probably the best thing for you to do will be to give the new NXT a try and make up you're own mind on if there's any difference or if it's better than what you're using now. Was over on MBworld and found a post where you recommended M16 or M26 here, and in your article on using the rotary buffer you lean towards Klasse.

No, it's me with the Benz, still have it, still shines, still use #16. Bill's Jag is gone, went off lease and he'll be waxing his new temporary ride a 8 year old Saturn that's never been waxed soon until he decides on a new ride.
So no thoughts on what makes NXT #2 different than #1? I hate using the word better since NXT #1 was pretty good.Comment

We've personally have only used a small amount of the new product from a Lab Sample. We used it on the hood of these two Special Interest Vehicles which neither see a lot of washing or rain, but it sure made the paint look good and that's what was most important to the owners.

Keep in mind, most people love the way NXT makes their paint look but the biggest complaint was that it didn't last very long which people judge by water beading. So R&D reformulated the product to include a new polymer technology they created.Comment

I think there was several side by side test done right before NXT 2.0 was released. They might still be on the old/new/other forum. Unless they have been moved over here already.Originally posted by Buellwinkle View Post
