Re: M105 and Other 2008 Products in Review!

I've been helping out Kevin Brown with a "hush-hush" project and we spent all day yesterday buffing out 1000 grit sanding marks using a rotary, wool pad and M105 - this stuff is just incredible!!! At one point he came up to me and said "oh my gosh, look what you've done!!!". My heart jumped into my throat - I thought I'd messed up badly, but he was standing at angle such that he got a perfect view of the reflections. I stood back and was just stunned.

I can't post pictures for another week or so, and I'm going back tomorrow to help with the finishing touches, but this M105 is just incredible stuff.

Mike, I'm very excited about seeing the results of the project y'all are working on. Kevin mentioned what it was to me, and I can't wait to see it. Thanks for the quick review of M105. I'm just about jealous...you get to work on awesome vehicles, with the newest Meg's products. Oh well, I can't really complain either.

The car has bc/cc and is not single stage so I didn't get any pigment on the pad. I did work approx a 2'x2' area or there abouts.

Not sure about if I used too much product or not, since that's the first and only time i've used it. I put down a bead on the surface I was working on and cleaned my pad with a brush after each panel, but it did have some build up on it still. That could have been the reason though it was so hard to remove and did dust. I probably should have used more than one pad.

I did work the product until it was almost gone, which was a few passes over each section. It definately does as adverstised on cutting and clarity though, I just probably need some more practice with it as it didn't seem to have that long of a working time before it would become gummy, but again, that could have been the build up on the pad.

Let's see the keywords here :

          - 1000 grit sanding marks
          - rotary
          - wool pad
          - M105
          - this stuff is incredible
          - reflections

That's very exciting to read about M105!
