I think it has to do with the little scale looking icon under your avatar, if you put a post and someone else clicks on that scale looking icon it will give you rep power (if they agree I assume). It also shows up in your User CP when you go on that.
I got one when I did a reply to a thread and someone clicked my scale and it showed up in my User CP as an "agree" on that particular thread.
I like Murr's idea though "makes us special"

Aaron is correct. You get rep power when someone clicks on the little scale at the bottom of your post. It can be a quite handy tool for someone new to the board to be able to tell whether the person that posted a reply knows what they are talking about or not.
I like Murr's explanation better, though. Lol.

With all of it. Especially Murr's explanation. LOL!!!!
How do you find what posts people gave you rep power on? I just clicked on user CP and only see what threads I am subscribed to.
I'll only tell you if you rep me.
lol, just teasing. It should be right there when you click on User CP, just below the list of subscribed threads. It must also have to be approved by a moderator or something, because I have 5 but only 2 of those show up with a green dot in front of them.
