When using a rotary buffer, you place a strip of product on the panel and then pick it up with your pad spinning on the rotary buffer like demonstrated in these videos.

When using a tool that oscillates, like a DA Polisher, you apply the product directly to the face of the pad and than place the face of the pad against the finish before turning it on.

I can't help but wonder how you lay down a strip of product on the side door and pick it up with your rotary, please make a video of that would you

Great videos! but i still having trouble to balancing the rotary with the foam pads, its easier with the wool pads, specially the brown compound foam pad, its so stiff. I know the technique from doing floor polishing but still i just can't really hold it with one hand, the rotary that is
