Good to know I'm not the only one!
A common mistake that people make when trying to design something completely foolproof is to underestimate the ingenuity of complete fools.

      How do you accomplish that?

Using my tiny shop vac and 4" wide attachment, I can never get it to look like that. Do they need to be wet or something?
It's only weird because it's not normal

Can you post a pic of the kind of attachment you use to achieve those results?

I have tried it a few times and yes, it works best if they are at least damp. But some mats are easier to do it on than others.

Colin, what's wrong with you! You don't like the way that looks? You're weird!

Just kidding!! Hey, that's why there are different cars, different clothes, different Meguiar's products. Not everybody likes the same thing.

If your floor mats or carpet is long then you can do it without cleaning the carpet or mats but if the carpet is really short or older then you need to clean the carpet first. Ypu use a brush attatchment that comes with the vacume like the one below but you would need a rectanged one not a circular one. All you do is go in lines like when yor cut the grass.

Carpet like this it does not work well...

                Carpet like this is good...
