The label on this states it's a cleaner/polish, but we think it also had protection ingredients in it also as the back label refers to it as a "Paint Shield". We have some more literature on it somewhere, when we find it we'll post it.

I used that. It was out in the early 90s and proceeded Gold Class as the premium consumer wax.

It could be that this became Gold Class. It was an excellent product but if memory serves me correctly it didn't sell well because people couldn't figure out what it was, (exactly), or where it fit in, in the paint polishing process.

Keep in mind, most people only want to wash and wax, that's two products a car wash and a car wax, throw in a product that they can't figure out and doesn't have the word wash or the word wax on the label and they'll reach for a bottle that plainly tells them,

"What's in it for me"

Didn't ever study marketing in college but that's how it works...

Ive used it and I felt it was the best wax that Meguiars sold at the time. You couldnt get it in the midwest unless you ordered direct from Meguiars . Maybe it didnt sell because you couldnt get it.

That hit the shelves about 1992, about the same time as MPPP. I thought it was the consumer version of MPPP. Whether it had more cleaning action than MPPP I am not sure of.

I still have a bottle of that too!
