  • Extreme Makeover: Mud Covered Jeep

    Hey all...

Heres what happens when you get 4 teenagers out in the desert when its raining. Keep in mind that this is what the car looks like after being rained on and sitting for a week. We went out last Saturday and didn't get home untill late that night, then Sunday it poored all day. This last week was kind of busy with the beginning of second semester. Then yesterday I had 7 cars to wash...so today is the first day I have had time to take care of it...

Here are some before pictures to get you thinking...I might not have the afters up until late tonight.

My plan...lots and lots of pressure washing on the under body. And lots and lots of time with the paint.

Thats all I have right now...keep in mind that this is after a full days of rain on it...when we came home I had about an inch of mud over the entire car.

Ah...the good ole' days when I used to 4 wheel! I still do, but only when I have to in order to get to a lake etc... for fishing...

How do you like your new tires in the mud????

They are great!!! Most of the time we were in 2wd, but we were going pretty fast so it kinda took over the purpose of 4wd. We did the same trail that we did about a year ago with the old tires and we were slipping the whole time in 4wd low...this time we were in 4wd high and just went right up and over in one shot.

Well I'm done..but any pictures that I would take wouldn't give it justice. It was a lot of work, especially on the under body but it looks good. Note to self...don't leave mud all over the car for a week, its really hard to get off.

I'll take some pictures tomorrow after school and post them...

I think I see a clean spot, you better go back out and get it muddy!

Happy to hear you like the tires in the mud. It will be a few months until I have some mud of my own around here to play in. It's all frozen now.

                  Getting Muddy = Fun
Getting Un-Muddy = Not So Much Fun

It can be a real pain if you leave the mud on for a while.... Sometimes, it seems to dry on pretty good.

Can't wait to see the clean pics!

Well I got some pictures today. I really need a new camera, it just doesn't do the car justice. I have a friend with a super nice Nikon and we might do a photo shot tomorrow to show the true beauty of it...

                    Here they are...

                    Thanks for looking...

Between you and BlueLibby I want more lights on my Jeep now.
