  • NJ, I would like to know if someone will help me learn

I am kinda embarrassed to ask, but is there anyone in central / northern NJ who would be willing to let me bring the Supra over, and help teach me how to use the tools of the trade on my car?

I'm not looking for a free detail job here, I will pay who ever will help me for their time and supplies if necessary, no problem. I just would really like to see how it's done, and possibly practice so I can be more productive in my hobby, and really learn how to take care of my cars paint like you guys do.

I don't own the tools to practice with, but I'd like to learn so I can purchase my own and be confident in using them on my vehicle. It's all curves, I am afraid to do anything to it other than hand wash and wax.. but the paint is getting pretty unhealthy. Swirls, small scratches, feels rough to the touch, doesn't reflect much etc.

If anyone here would be so kind as to help teach me, I would be grateful.

    Thanks for looking

    - Brett

I'd be able to make it there about two weeks ago. My girlfriend broke up with me the day before valentines, I was living in Laredo, TX. I moved back to NJ the next day. Thank you though!

What a horrible thing for her to do

Sorry bout that. Wish I was closer to help out, but it looks like there are plenty of qualified people around your area.

                97 Supra,
I have a shop in Jamesburg NJ. We hosted the Meguiar's Road Show here last year.(There are a bunch of posts and pics in the archived forum) I would be glad to have you come by and learn the ropes.

                My best,
                Len House
