If your paint has any hardness to it at all then you'll likely need something like M83 or M80
If you look at all the threads from our Saturday classes here,

You'll see we always use the M80 at a minimum to remove swirls and scratches because the ScratchX just isn't aggressive enough for most paints when working by machine. It was re-formulated to be used by machine but that doesn't mean it's always the best choice for your project.
It's always good to try it first as sometimes it will work and we teach the philosophy of,
"Always use the least aggressive product to get the job done"
Others find it works great on their car's paint system.
Sometimes you just have to experiment.
