Re: #82 Swirl Free Polish vs #9 Swril Remover

The primary difference between these two products is that M82 Swirl Free Polish is designed to be used via DA polisher or rotary only, while M09 Swirl Remover 2.0 can be used by hand or orbital in addition to DA or rotary. Otherwise, yes, they are quite similar.

Further, both can be used with either the W8006 or W9006 pads, but of course you will experience more aggressive defect removal using the W8006 pad.

Re: #82 Swirl Free Polish vs #9 Swril Remover

This question comes up all the time, there are similar threads in "Hot Topics" because it comes up all the time. Here's one...

        What's the difference between #9 #82 and #80

Another difference is that #9 can be purchased in a 16 ounce bottles (and gallons), and can be found in some Hard Parts Stores like Autozone, Kragen, Pep Boys, etc. Lots of people appreciate this as they don't need a quart of product and they can find it easier than searching out a PBE store.

M82 is available in only quarts and gallons and is sold through PBE Stores.

Most people cannot tell the difference in how they work no matter how they are applied and most people could never tell the difference after wiping the residue off in the results.

#9 makes for a great light paint cleaner like our Deep Crystal Paint Cleaner when someone is looking for a light cleaner to apply by hand to insure the surface is cleaned and polished and perfectly prepared to accept a coating of wax.

Moving to Hot Topics to reside there with the other threads on this topic.

Re: #82 Swirl Free Polish vs #9 Swril Remover

I've used these two a lot and found that #9 is better with the DA and works longer with the rotary. I prefer it over #82. I get less pad hop when using a foam pad with the rotary as well.

I'm just sure to use an IPA mix to wipe any polishing oil away before finishing.
