  • effective primer for small plastic parts

If you need to paint a interior plastic part made from flexible polypropylene part like side or trunk panels and sill plates-

The new aerosol Krylon FUSION paints work well as a primer undercoat.

Simply clean the plastic part, avoid rough sanding due to the plastic surface tearing more than sanding.

The Fusion paint bonds to the plastic like a primer and I find many top coat enamels and lacquer paints then adhere to the Fusion paint.

It makes a good base for filler primers also.
    Works on nylon parts also.
Also reasonably sanding quality in about an hour or more.

I am not impressed with the paint as a top coat, but the clear binder works great.

Cheaper and simpler than using a special plastic primer

I use adhesive promoter, but I do like the Fusion paint. Works really good!
