    Is the Ultimate Quik Detailer Toxic?

    Hey guys,

    This is my first post and I'm a newb to the detailing scene. I just washed my car then decided to buy the Meguiar's Ultimate Quik Detailer to make my Civic SI look nice.

    I sprayed it down and used microfiber clothes to work it is and dry it off. The whole time, I was touching the cloth (with the product in it) with my bare skin. I washed my hands afterwards, but I was wondering if there is any toxic stuff in the product that could be absorbed through the skin.

    Depends on what your definition of "toxic" is. As long as you don't consume it or get it in your eyes you should be safe.

    But I did have a neighbor who used Meguiar's paste wax, then 17 years later: BAM, died of a heart attack. Yeah, i'd be careful there.

      Dangerous if it gets consumed or through your eyes...but if its sprayed to your hand, well, just wash it off.

      They should be VOC compliant .

        Most Of The Meguiar's Products I Use Do Smell Wonderful But Consumption Never Crossed My Mind. Here Honey Try This New Kool-aid.

          I wouldn't recommend putting a straw in it and taking a nice long drink, but I am sure there are no skin absorption issues.

            I actually like to mix a little bit in with my orange juice at breakfast to add a deep gloss to my insides. And the hydrophobic lubricity does wonders for the digestive tract.

                Whether I am going to the local bar or dining in with family I like to splash a little UQD on the neck. The ladies love the look and smell that it brings to my skin! You'll be fine.

                  Before using UQD, I always massage NXT 2.0 into my hands for extra protection. (Waiting at least 12 hours for the second application.)

                  Seems to work, except my mouse keeps slipping out of my hand.
