I had my father's 2001 F150 for the weekend while he was out of town. He figured I was going to be cleaning it up the entire time because he knows I hate dirty cars. How right he was. I wanted to clean it up a bit for him since he is always helping me out with things and doesn't really have the time to do it himself. It is a work/haul/daily driver with 135,000 miles, plus at the house of course is all dirt as well as the mile long dirt road to get there. Basically, it gets dirty quickly. I didn't do any carpet/upholstery cleaning since it would have taken probably another three days to clean it all only to have it get dirty again in a short amount of time. I did clean and wipe down everything else though.

As you can see, he tries to keep it somewhat clean with the towels on the seats and the extra floor mats, but my younger sisters don't help either. They don't really care too much about it, although the youngest does clean it out every now and then.
Pretty simple process, still took about 3-4 hours total though:

Pretty simple process, still took about 3-4 hours total though:
- Remove trash/items and vacuum.
- Wiped all interior Vinyl/Plastic/Rubber and all door jambs and the painted parts of the interior door (basically everything not carpet/upholstery not on the exterior of the vehicle) with Simple Green diluted and/or a Magic Eraser.
- Applied Meguiar's Gold Class Vinyl/Rubber Protectant and let it sit for a day.
- Sprayed Meguiar's Odor Eliminator through the vents twice and inside twice.
- Cleaned the glass with Eagle One 20/20 Glass Cleaner.
- Polished the Instrument Cluster with Meguiar's Mirror Glaze Clear Plastic Cleaner and Clear Plastic Polish to remove the haze.
- Wiped the interior down with Quik Interior Detailer to remove any accumulated dust and to even out the Gold Class Vinyl/Rubber Protectant.
