  • Mustang makeover....

Posting this for kerrinjeff for reference pictures. I did this car about a year ago, and thought I posted it up here on MOL but can't seem to find the link to it. The process has been long forgotten, but I believe it was Solo with a wool pad and 80 on the DA, followed by the original NXT.

    Anyhow, here are the pictures...

    Re: Mustang makeover....

I taped off half of the hood. I wanted to use this car for a side by side comparison...

And here are the results of the side by side...

I thought I posted this car up here, but for some reason it does not exsist anymore Maybe I'm not looking in the right places?

I think it was posted on the old CS site, which is sadly not accessable anymore far as I know.

Great write up. Good to see those old Five-Point-Oh's getting some proper treatment.

Yea it might gum up a lot of pads but man is the result worth it... nothing better than red ss paint imo...

Is that a 1992? I had one just like that- my first new car.

SS paint is easier but mine faded out in the georgia sun when i was in college down there- had to have a repaint after i graduated. Red SS paint cars don't do so well down there in the sun.

Looks amazing. From dull pink to hot red. The wool pad and a DA? What size is the pad?

Probably one of the Solo wool pads, as thats one of my favorites. The DA pad would have been a 6" Meguiar's pad.

I also remember this one. Great work in bringing it back to life. That was a dramatic 50/50 shot.
