Suggestions for status names and posts counts to achieve them

Anyone familiar with online discussion forums understands that one of the protocols/options available in the forum community is to create custom status titles for members, which are determined by each persons post count.

While not a big deal, at the same time, it is an option that I think I would like open up for suggestion by forum members for both status names, and the number of posts required to attain the name.

Currently, we're using the default titles.

    Junior Member (Minimum Posts: 0)
    Member (Minimum Posts: 30)
    Senior Member (Minimum Posts: 100)

Would anyone care to suggest some creative, car crazy titles and recommend some post counts to attain the title? Meguiar's plans on being in this for the long run, so I don't think it's out of question to to have 4, 5, even 6 etc., status levels with some very high post requirements to attain these higher levels.

Here are some examples off the top of my head,

    Newbie 0-50 posts
    Enthusiasts 50-100 posts
    Serious Enthusiasts 100 - 500 posts
Car Crazy 500 to 1000 posts
Certified Car Crazy 1000 to 5000 posts

and so on, and so on, you get the idea... let's see how creative we can get.

    Mike

    p.s.

Like I mentioned above, this is just for fun, that said, there is a term in the online forum world for people that post often just for the sake of posting to increase their post count to attain the highest status. I'm sure this won't issue among the high caliber of people that are Meguiar's Online attracts.

What will the punishment be for the unmentioned "posthorsing"?

I just need to know in advanced, because I don't want to get banned permently...

I think what you have set up now is pretty good, just showing the post count is usually enough.
On another forum I visit, what the administrators do is wait until someone makes a goofball comment, or just a nice typo, then they add a funny comment about it under the person's name.

A couple of examples would be:
Owner of the shiniest boat in town.
    I vacuum my cars exterior.
I sweat, sweat, sweat, sweat over my Benz.
    or even
    See my Yellow Banana.

It might take a little imagination, but it can get pretty entertaining to see what pops up next.
Mike, if you need to see what I'm talking about just let me know, and I could take a couple of screen shots, our you could log into the site to see some examples...

Yeah... I could leave well enough alone, but I thought I would see what others thought...

I like the list you came up with alot, except for the newbie part. some one might feel like we're looking down on them. how about "inquisitive", or something along those lines?

I agree with 2000 on the "newbie" classification also other choices could be:
          apprentice
          journeyman
          specialist
          amateur
          freshman
          undergraduate

I don't want to add to the confusion but maybe something on the line of there experience / knowledge of a specific topics.
          let Me explain
It shows Me as having 248 posts and I'm tagged as a "Senior Member" that's fine but when it comes to the true knowledge for art of detailing I can not hold a candle to the flame of most of the pros out here, Some with high numbers and some with low ie. Scottwax 67, Superior Shine 202, Rockpic 467, just to name a few of the many knowledgeable people that post here. some times it makes me think real hard when I see a response or rebuttal to a specific topic "Is that there opinion or just the way it is suppose to be done",
And if I get confused just think about those who are just starting out.

But with my post here I don't want to take the wind out of anyones sail especially when it come to trying to make things better for the newer members lurking on the side lines.

          ok thing's to do list
          1. put soap box away
          2. close Thesaurus

          tnx for hearing me out.

I think this sounds great, let Mike decide when to upgrade someone by the post the person adds, If someone shows a pretty good understanding of what they are trying to explain, then Mike could upgrade the persons level.

That way you have to learn more to up your standing.

Not too hard, it does require good technique however!

In no way shape or form did I want to make what I said a burden on mikes shoulders, I enjoy reading his novels...nope that's not the word???? Experience and His technique on most all of the Meguiar's products, Besides Most mortal men would crumble in his shoes.(working on some brownie points here).
I guess what I was trying to say is that the post count is no way to judge one's expertise or experience
