Well my friend has a modified 240SX drift car with alright paint and he posted it on craigslist and he got a reply asking him if he would trade for a 74 Nova. It has a 350, edelbrock intake and 4 barrel carb, Muncie 4 speed on the floor tranny after market, Are these tranny's any good never heard of them, hurst short throw shifter. it has a new clutch and new fly wheel, press plate, throwout bearing, pilot bearing. it has a 2 in cowl induction hood. It has very nice paint Yellow with black stripes. Miminal rust which miminal can me just about anything depending on the person. The thing is that it is the not the original motor and trans and I have heard that chevy's have to have numbers matching to have any great value. If they don't it will hurt the value. That is what i have heard at a couple of classic car auctions. Body is straight, no bondo. the motor looks like the smog equipment has been taken off. How important is it to have the original motor and trans for chevy's. My friend would be drving it everyday and are they reliable at this age? I know the 350 is one of the best motors ever built and are bullet proof. I am not a Chevy expert so any advice will be great.
Thanks.
Thanks.
