Is there any distinct difference(s) (labeling wise) between the old and the reformulated M105?

Just wanted to know how to differentiate the new and the old ones. Need to restock as I'm running low on M105.

The new label will state that it can be used with a DA Polisher.

we in belgium did a test in a Advanced Meguiar's detail day with the DA and M105 and W7006, it work quiet well, only when you know rotary, you know is faster (and more dangerous :-)) but what pad is Meguiar's recommending ??

we in Belgium did a test in a Advanced Meguiar's detail day with the DA and M105 and W7006, it work quiet well, only when you know rotary, you know is faster (and more dangerous :-)) but what pad is Meguiar's recommending ??

A lot of people has used M105 with the DA and had great luck, we know this but recommendations to how to use a product have to be very careful or you'll have absolute Newbies causing themselves problems because they're Newbies, that is because they don't have experience, they don't have skills and they can't recover from a mistake and instead panic and/or complain. So companies have to take a bigger picture approach toward product recommendations and directions than most people understand.

Something I point out once in a while n this forum is that "Anyone" with a computer can get online and start reading about a product like M105 and the entire time they have know idea that this product in in our Professional Line and is formulated for people working on fresh paint in the body shop industry.

That's a completely different market than Joe Consumer, who bought a PC at Home Depot or Lowe's and is now trying to remove the swirls out of their black car based upon a couple posts on some detailing forum.

Huge difference.

As to your question, at this time Meguiar's is not officially recommending any of our cutting pads for use with this product on a DA Polisher even though we know that this combination can work quite well.

During our training class on new products we were told that the recommendation to use our new W7207 Foam Cutting pad with a DA Polisher was being removed from the packaging. We understand this is going to make a lot of online enthusiast unhappy, so please take a moment to read the comments on this topic in the thread for our new cutting pad here.

W7207 Washable Foam Cutting Pad

Since Meguiar's isn't recommending using either of our foam cutting pads on DA Polisher with any chemicals, ("any chemical" would include M105), that leaves you with our W8207 or W-8006 foam polishing pads as the official recommended pads for use with M105 and a DA Polisher.

Again, if you read the information on this topic posted in the thread linked above it will discuss the topic of using the W7207 Foam Cutting Pad on a DA Polisher and that information would apply to using this combo with M105

General line : W8206 or W8006 with M105 , after that W8206/w8006 with M205.

The Internet is great in how it provides so much information with the click of a mouse, on this forum we try to present more comprehensive and thorough information on all topics and over the long run this will prove more valuable to our members and our lurkers especially when they compare the quality of the information provided here to what they can find on a few of the other detailing forums where information is often times opinions and short one liners.
