  • Clarification on Ultimate Quick Wax vs. Ultimate Quick Detailer

Can someone please clarify what the main differences between UQW and UQD? I assume that UQW will leave some type of wax protection behind? Does UQW have any type of hydrophobic properties? When would you use one or the other? Will (or can) UQW replace UQD?

If there are links on this, please link them to this thread. I did a couple searches and didn't see a similar topic.

    Thanks!!

The UQW is a brand new product, so not really on the market yet for people to write about.

The UQW will leave more protection behind. But the UQD is going to have the lubrication needed for removing dirt, droppings, etc.

So you will still need some kind of detailer product, but as far as after washing, the UQW could be a replacement.

UQD is a quick detailer, it can be used to remove light dust, fingerprints and smudges.

QW is a spray-on wax, it provides protection and is used just like UQD but should NOT be used to remove light dust, fingerprints and smudges.

They will both make paint in good to excellent condition look great but have different purposes.

So, if you want to clean up your paint on a garage queen car you could use UQD followed by UQW?

Yes. The UQD provides lubricity to the surface so you can safely remove light dust and fingerprints. UQW does not and should only be used on a dust free surface, just as you would use any other wax whether that be spray, liquid or paste.
