Where can all-metal polish be used on motorbike?

Hi

I have a KTM dirt bike. I would like to know on which parts of the bike I can use all-Metal Polish, specifically:

1. the rims
2. the rear swing-arm
3. sub-frame (aluminium)
4. engine casing

Can this product only be used on pure cast aluminium parts without any coating of any kind?

Well, it depends what all those parts are made of/coated with on your bike.

But yes, you want to use it on bare metal, whether it is aluminum, stainless, chrome, etc.

If I remember well,the back of the tub says that it can be used on every metal surface except gold.

So,unless your dirt bike has gold..............?

I would only use it on polished metal only.
Any metal that isn't polished is pores-es, and will keep the product in the metal.
So be careful and do a test spot first.

No, a terry cloth or foam appliator will work.

Hey roger, I just tested out the all metal polish, and it was really disappointing, it was the worst product on the motorcycle kit i had.

Roger, what kind of ktm do you have? I have a 250sx-f. On it the only thing that is uncoated is the aluminum subframe. The rims are powdercoated and the swing arm has clear coat on it. For those 2 a cleaner wax works very well. As for the engine casing, depending on wich part you are talking about it is either aluminum or the covers are magnesium. In either case the best thing that I have found to use is a cleaner wax as well. I had a crf 250 that i stripped off the coatings and polished the swing arm, frame and clutch cover and it was a nightmare to keep clean and protected.
