  • Problem with DW849 and W64, W65

    Hello,

    I have the Dewalt DW849, and i can't put on the W64 or W65?

It's not the same Diameter of threading.

    Have you an adaptator?

    Thanks

    Re: Problem with DW849 and W64, W65

My limited experience with Dewalt is that they come in 2 sizes; M14 for asian and 5/8 for the states. Which ones are you using?

The backing plates are also different as my place here, the authorized distributor are selling M14 backing plates whereas if you are buying directly from the states, it will be in 5/8 spindle size.

Adaptor? You can either get them made by your local machinist or get the adaptor online.

Search through the web for Adapter M14 female 5/8 male

    Hope this helps.

Think Tim's nailed the problem, looks like you're in Europe? Possibly France?

      Great looking website!

Maybe contact DeWalt in Europe and see about getting the recommended backing plate for the thread size on your buffer.

Here's the link to the European DeWalt website,
