  • Deep Crystal Paint Cleaner

A little while ago i was messing around in the garage and decided to give my Meguiars products a shake to see if they were alright, i usally do this a couple times a month. Anyways i gave DC1 a shake and it felt watery and didnt have the same consistency as DC2, Color X, Cleaner wax, Tech Wax etc. I poured a little bit out onto an old cloth and it was watery and not thick like DC2 or DC3 or any other above products i mentioned above. Being that all the other paint cleaner, polishes, and waxes i own are not watery like DC1 i am assuming the product went bad. All my products never see below 60 degree tempertures and it has never been frozen.

I am not looking for my money back as its a year old and its being discontinued anyway. Just wanted to see if thats how the product is or if it went bad

    Thanks in advance

      Where did you buy it?

I had both my DC1 and DC2 go bad, I took them back to Schucks (Kragen/Checker)where I bought them and got new ones with no questions. Didn't ask for receipts either.

It shouldn't be watery, it should be thin but not watery. Does it have a uniform appearance?

Maybe try shaking it really well and test it out on a car. If it seems to watery then call Customer Care at 1-800-347-5700

If it's watery then replace it with a new bottle. After you get the new bottle, shake it up and verify it's different than the bottle you have.

Or pick up a bottle of SwirlX and take it for a test drive.

I planned on purchasing Swirlx as soon as it came out, none of my local stores have it

Anyways, I will just get Swirlx, thanks for your help
