1989 Ranger XLT

I really like your Ranger. It looks very clean (no dings, broken stuff, etc) for its age. I would LOVE to pick up (excuse the pun, har har) a 1989-1992 Supercab Ranger and eventually make a show/street truck out of it.

My brother had a new 1989 white Ranger XLT like yours so I fell in love with it as a kid riding with him.

Hey mark, on your Red Ranger, How did you remove the Orange side marker within the headlight.

Is that a new/different headlight, or did you take it apart?

It was a combination of new "clear corners" which were new housings for the side markers, and then I replaced the factory amber bulbs with bulbs that looks totally chrome when off, but light up amber (still legal).

I did the same thing on my F150 and Focus.

It's a little rough around the edges. I think it may have had a blowout or a wheel fell off at some point on the driver side. The rear part of the rear fender opening is a little bit tweaked. It has a couple dings here and there and the bed is pretty scratched up (thinking about a roll-on bedliner). It's a truck and gets used as such. I bought it for $2000 several years back, but had to put a new A4LD transmission in it. I try my best to make it look as good as it can and the white paint definitely helps.

I'm looking to replace it at some point later this year. I'm really leaning towards one of the 5.3L Colorados. Too bad Ford wouldn't follow suit and put a V8 into the Ranger. I've thought about putting one of my spare 5.0L engines into this Ranger, but it's got 260K on it and I just want something newer and more comfortable.

I gave up my 7.3L F250 a couple years back right before the price of diesel went through the roof. I wish I still had it though, I really liked that truck. It had intake, 4" exhaust, and a 120hp Banks chip. It got 20mpg of the freeway and moved out really well.

I've thought about getting another 7.3L F250, but I kinda like driving a smaller truck. They are a whole lot easier to deal with on a daily basis (traffic, parking lots, etc...)

Shew blackmach, you're gonna have your work cut out with all that black paint. But i'd say those more rides are more than worth it. i'd be looking forward to that vette.
