  • Greetings from San Diego

Hello to all. My name is John and I hail from sunny San Diego, CA. My detailing knowledge is very basic-beginner, but I would like to become proficient to the point of detailing my own vehicles.

Meguiars online was recommended to me in another forum for Honda owners after I posted a thread asking for help dealing with finish damage resulting from a careless "dry wash", performed at a paint and body shop where my car was being serviced. This site has been a great resource and the knowledge and experience of the mods and members is phenomenal.

I'm a veteran poster on other forums, try never to step on toes (I'm actually a moderator on a couple of football oriented forums) and respectful of others' advice and experiences. I usually join forums for new products I purchase (GPS units, stereos, PDA phones) because there is no substitute for real world experiences in resolving product issues and learning.

Glad to be here, hope to learn A LOT, and I look forward to contributing to this online community when and where I can.

I live in Pacific Beach for now, but looking to move to something a little less college-town. Maybe Bay Park. I like living in that SD metro area, not far from the ocean.
