    Ultimate Compound

Hello Everyone, today i was lucky enough to find Ultimate Compound at Advance Auto Parts, i snatched it right off the shelf along with UQW. So lets get started:

    Vechile: 2004 Black Toyota 4Runner

    Products used:

    - Ultimate Compound
    - Hi tech applicator pad
    - 2 Microfibers
    - Quik Detailer
    - Tape

Background: This truck is our daily driver and gets used and abused. If i am going to a very crowded and compact area where i dont feel comfortable taking my Silverado, I take the 4Runner. This truck gets ued and abused. This truck barely gets washed and when it does it is done by my Dad with a terry cloth and a squeeze of dish soap. If i really wanted to i could bring this truck back to life but it dosent really matter because its a work truck and my parents dont want me wasting my products on this truck. I was anxious to see what UC could do for this truck, oh and its black by the way!

    Ultimate Compound:

    Befores:

Taped a section of the hood just like its done on the front label:

Process: okay so heres what i did. i wiped the test section down with some quik detailer and a microfiber. Then i taped a section off for the test. I did this all by hand too. I worked the product into the finish with moderate pressure for about 50 seconds then i used light pressure for the next 10 seconds.

i used circular motions and straight lines.

    After:

There is still swirls but nothing compared to what it was like before, and take into account it was used by hand with a foam applicator pad using moderate pressure

The Product : Ultimate Compound has a very pleasant smell to it and it is not a strong smelling product. It smelled a little minty with a squirt of Quik Interior Detailer. I was very impressed with Ultimate Compound and how it performed by hand, i can only imagine the results by machine! This product also seemed to finish LSP ready and didnt leave behind its own path of destruction for Swirl X to clean up.

Ultimate Compound is a great product and truly blows traditional rubbing compounds out of the water! This is a product i would always have on hand for when you are working on a car. I apoligize in advance for my poor picture taking skills, but i thought i would share this with you guys if anyone is on the fence about buying this product.

Questions, comments, and concerns are more than welcome

thanks for looking and i hope you enjoyed this little writeup on Ultimate Compound

    Re: Ultimate Compound Review!

Nice write-up! Looks like a couple applications of UC would bring that 4Runner back to life!

Still haven't found UC in my area, but when I do, I'd like to try a M105 / UC comparison with the DA. My dad's old pickup is a prime canidate for some serious defect removal!

I applied NXT Tech Wax 2.0 on the UC test section.

Did it get rid of the swirls that were left?
Or did you not see the swirls in the first After Picture.

    Re: Ultimate Compound Review!

In the first after picture the left side was treated with UC and while there were still swirls in the treated area, it was a whole lot better than the right side where it was just a mess and was extreme cobwebbing, UC minimized the swirls a ton, and i worked it in with a foam applicator pad for about a minute and a half with moderate pressure and i only made one pass and then finished it up with the Tech Wax. I wish i had taken better pictures to show you a better before and after. But i took the after pictures before i applied Tech Wax 2.0, that was dumb of me. But the Tech Wax minimized them even more and most likely filled them in

Now you need to get SwirlX to really finish the panels. On my old and abused Sonoma (black) I used UC of all the panels and it finished really well on all the panels. I followed up on the hood and roof with SwirlX to eliminate the spiderwebbing. These are very user friendly products. They work really well with DA's.
