How To Post a Poll

Look down below and you'll see a box you can check to include a poll in your thread. There's also a place for you to adjust how many answers you want in the poll.

The default is 4 but you can reduce or increase this number before clicking on the Submit New Thread button.

After you click on the Submit New Thread button you will be taken to a new screen where you can add your poll information. After you fill this out you will then click on the Submit New Poll button and your thread with the poll included will be posted to the forum.

The next screen will look like this and you can add the text for your options which are usually answers to the poll question.






Poll Question
Type in your question here.

Number of poll options
If you know how many answers you want to give the reader you should have adjusted this number in the first screen; if you have made a mistake or you want to change the number of options you can increase or decrease it in this screen by changing the number and then clicking on the Submit New Poll button.

Poll Timeout
In most cases you should leave this blank unless you have a purpose for only making the poll open for a certain number of days.

Miscellaneous Options

* Allow Multiple Choice
Depending upon your questions you many want to enable people to select one or more answers, if so then check this option.

* Make votes public
You'll tend to get more people to vote if you leave this box un-checked as some people don't want their vote to be public.

* Automatically parse links in text
This is checked by default and you should leave it alone.



That's about all there is to it. It's always a good idea to spell check before submitting any new thread, poll or reply to an existing thread.
