  • Which wax or sealant for backside of wheels?

I've been using a leftover tub of Gold Class to wax the backside of clearcoat rims ever since I switched to using Synthetic Sealant #21 for exterior use. Now that I've nearly used up the Gold Class I wonder if I can use #21 on the wheels as well? Or any other product to use specifically on wheels?

    Hi:

I have been using 21 on mine. Nothing really last all that long; 20 and 21 have seemed to work the best for me. Sure makes cleaning a lot easier.

either NXT Tech Wax 2.0 or M21 2.0 , you want to have something on the surface of your wheels that is gonna last a long time

I agree, I've used all of the waxes (except my precious M16) on wheels, just remember if you use a wheel cleaner, it will strip that wax off! I use good ol' soap and water and use wheel cleaner as needed.

Today I've use Cleaner Wax after washing them and it felt so good and they look very shiny . I would recommend it!

Use a Wheel Cleaner, then Seal them up with NXT 2.0. Or use 21. Any will work fine, but for wheels I would just base it off of Price and how long the wax lasts.

I agree. It's a good use for cleaner wax sample from clay kit.

I do find NXT on the wheels, naturally, lasts longer though.

                21 or NXT.

Don't get sucked in to any dedicated "wheel wax" type product. I've tried two, they both stunk and came back and use NXT 2.0.

For the wheels (inside and outside), I just use any left-over wax. For the inside, since I can only wax it once a year when changing tires, I don't really care too much.

I am now using some left-over NXT-1 for the wheels because I use NXT-2 for the painted surfaces.

All I use is the original #21. Works great for me.
