Let me hear your advice on this!!

I have been reading so much stuff on purchasing the G110.

Everyone that talks about it says its amazing, and it beats using the hand motions.

Starting out with the G110 might be a little spendy but it sounds like it will pay for its self?

I am wondering how many pads I would need to get to do my car

Using my process to reference how many pads I need.. Light swirls no major defects

    Clay
    Ultimate Compound
    SwirlX
    Polsih
    Wax(2)

Well, typically you would want at least two pads per product for your cleaning steps.

A good thing to do if you will need a lot of cleaning is just order a case of 6 from ADS, and get 4 polishing and 2 finishing.

Now, if the car is in very good shape, you may find you can just do a quick cleaning with one pad. But for defect removal, it is good to be able to change pads.

I have heard that ADS alot.. whats the webiste?

I guess the next biggest question is.. How much product do I need to do a section.. a size of a microfiber for easy figuring? one circle around the pad and that should be enough?

I would go with more than two pads per product for the cleaning steps. I find new pads just work better and more efficiently, even if you're cleaning them on the fly (frequently).

Personally, I use 4 pads for M105, 4 for M205, 1 for M07 and 1 for my LSP (if at all). I do not use a pad (with a bonnet) for LSP removal. A total of 10 pads per job.

Just consider the size of your car and the amount of correction, which will obviously impact the amount of pads you use.

Here's a thread in the Hot Topics forum from 2004 but the information is just as accurate as it pertains to your question about will a DA Polisher pay for itself...

Will I notice a difference if I use the G-100

I think the machine washable pads are 7.5" pads, not 6.5".
