    Got My Porter Cable 7424!

Finally i have stepped up to a Dual Action Polisher.
I have a few questions though,

    1. The kit came with a 5" inch backing plate, can i put meguiars 2.0 pads on it?

    2. If not will the meguiars backing plate match up to the 7424?

    Thanks in advance,
    Anthony

As long as you get the DA backing plate and not the Rotary one it will work.

The backing plate that comes with the PC is meant for sand paper not foam pads

This is the new Meguiars backing plate designed to work best with the new 2.0 pads: Meguiar's W68DA DA Backing Plate

Both the new backing plate and the one that comes standard with the G110 DA are 5.75" in diameter, so your PC 5" plate may not be optimal for handling the newer 7" diameter soft buff 2.0 pads.

I don't know if the W68DA will adapt to the PC, but I think it probably should. Contact ADS customer service and ask specifics.
