Is this the textured black plastic trim?

Or is this dull smooth plastic?

    Or shiny smooth plastic?

    What are you working on?

i think it is dull black plastic. i have the 370z. the black plastic parts are by the side mirrors and the front which has the grill like part.

You can use this for most textured and dull plastic and rubber components.

        G10810 Gold Class Trim Detailer

For the grill you might like this better because you apply it like you were using a spray can of paint since it's aerosolized.

i've read on other forums where they used something called the "meguiars back to black" and the layer where it was applied was flaking off and turning white. the two products listed above is safe and i wont see the flaking and turning white, right?

I used it a few times.
But Gold Class Trim Detailer is an excellent Product.
Not to be mistaken, but the Back to Black was good too.
But I like Gold Class Trim Detailer Better, plus in my opinion it lasts longer too.

I have not run across this particular complaint about Mother's Back to Black, which is in no way to question this one person's experience with the product. Sometimes a product might not work out on a particular car for any number of reasons--inhospitable ambient conditions, user error, bad product, etc. So it is important to look for multiple complaints of the same kind. My impression is that Back to Black typically receives pretty good reviews, as far as trim restorers go. People are often disappointed by trim restorers.

I have had good luck with Gold Class Trim Detailer and am happy to recommend it.

FWIW, M40 is a great product for dull/faded trim.

I use Meguiar's Natural Shine Vinyl and Rubber Protectant and the black plastic looks great. What's the difference between what I use and the other two products recommended? fficeffice" />
