  • Premium Detailed 2001 Titanium Silver Porsche 911 Turbo!!!

    The 2001 Porsche 911 Turbo was and still is a rocket ship on wheels. With a 415 horsepower 3.6L 6 cylinder turbo engine, all wheel drive, and a $114,700 MSRP, this car really stands out in a crowd.

    I was contacted by a member of autopia.org to detail this car. He wanted a full detail and to get rid of some swirls. When I showed up at his house on day one of this detail and did my initial inspection of the vehicle I was amazed! This is probably the best maintained vehicle I have ever detailed. I was really impressed at the lack of marring, swirls, and RIDS (random isolated deep scratches). The Porsche was very, very lightly swirled. The worst swirling was on the taillights. The headlights were the worst part of the car, but nothing I couldn’t handle.

    Interior:
    * Windows got Stoner Invisible Glass
    * All leather and plastic was cleaned with Meguiars APC+ 10:1
    * Dash and other plastic was dressed with OPT Protectant
    * Carpets were shampooed with my Mytee extractor and Megs APC+
    * Leather was dressed with Poorboys Leather Stuff by hand

    Exterior:
    * Wash with Dawn soap
    * Clay bar with Pinnacle Ultra Poly Clay 2 and ONR diluted as lube
    * Taped up with 3M blue masking tape
    * Polished with Wheel Wax Glacier Polish with sealant on G110 with 6.5” German green LC CCS
    * Waxed with Pinnacle XMT 180 Carnauba wax
    * Meguiars Last Touch QD
    * Polished by hand in some spots with M105 and an orange hand pad

    Engine: (sorry I didn’t take any pics)
    * Covered up electrical and air flow system
    * Degreased with Megs APC+ diluted 10:1
    * Hosed down and dried off (no dressing)

    Wheels and tires:
    * Eagle One A2Z Wheel cleaner
    * EZ detail and various other brushes
    * OPT Opti-bond tire gel
    * Wheel wax Wheel wax

    On to the detail, enjoy!

    Here are a few before pics.

    This was after half of the roof

    Polishing in progress

    I’d say the headlights really turned out well, what do you think?

    I wish I would have gotten a before of the Porsche emblem, but it was really bad so I pulled out the M105 and got to work by hand. It turned out great!

    And now for some afters!

    Swirl free!

    Thanks for looking!

        Nice work! But, am I reading this right...did you polish w/ M105 after waxing the car? Or, did you just put that line in the wrong spot?

                It must have been nice to show up to a finish that wasn't going to wear you out for a change I'm sure.

                Still, the after pictures show the new "glow" you gave this vehicle and the interior is much improved. Nice work!
