  • Cleaning Tweed Interior

    Hi all,

I have an 89 Nissan 240SX and there is ALOT of tweed on the inside of this car. This car has been sitting in my garage for 8 years and I want to get it out on the road again. All it needs is a serious cleaning. I tried using a stiff brush with some carpet/upholstery cleaner on one of the seats, and it messed up the tweed and now I have a seat that looks like it has a hairball.

So, my question is, how do I clean my tweed seats and door panels without ruining them?

Well, if you cant rub it, you are going to have to go with a dab and blot method.

You'll have more luck with an extractor/Carpet Cleaner
Even a Rug DR has an upholstery attachment and are as close as grocery store
That should give it a good cleaning

              It should work great
It will get it cleaner than it is now and shouldn't damage anything
Do a test spot and "learn" how to use it on your car.
