Hi, why do I get tiny white spots in my dark finish ,looks like salt has been sprinkled on the surface in different areas? I am using Meg. Cleaner/Wax.

    Thanks

It could be rock chips in the paint. After you waxed the vehicle the wax is in the chips and made them more noticeable.

      Re: Spots white

Where are the spots at? Are they centered in one area of the car or are they scattered all over?

By the way, seeing this is your first post, to MOL!

You might want to try claying next...

sounds like chips filled with wax.

If that's the case, then a 50/50 water/alcohol solution should be able to remove the wax residue in the chips. Of course, you'll then need to re-wax the surface.

                          Really?
I would never use this combo.
I would be afraid of all the run off drying out any plastic or what ever it comes in contact with.
What has been your experiance with this combo?

Yes, really, Mario. A 50/50 alcohol/water solution is commonly used in detailing circles to remove waxes and polishing oils.

I must be heck of a lucky!

On the forum,I've heard of plastic trim detailers running when it rains..I've never had that problem.

This problem of wax in stone chips, turning white....Again,I've never had that problem either.(Although I have seen this before on other cars).

Are some people putting too much product on and not wiping off properly?
