  • Caught a 11.2lb Snapper (Fish)

Well a few weeks ago our fishing club had a competition and have a guess who won not that I'm bragging lol....

Snapper is the most common fish caught down here and are very nice eating .
Snapper have been know to weigh in as much as 30lbs,to catch one over 10lbs is a VERY good day out .

I took away the heaviest Snapper and my step daughter won the kids devision .oops and my partner got second, so we cleaned up

    What a day fishing ......

Snapper is my favorite fish! Caught a 95# halibut off the Oregon Coast about 20 years ago. But I think Snapper just tastes better!

Hi All. Snapper is best cooked with a bit of garlic and herb salt. Also tastes good crumbed with Italian herbs in the bread crumbs. Any body hungry???? I think I will open the freezer and pull out a nice big fillet of Snapper and have it for breakfast
                      yum yum yum.

We just watched a program about a Kiwi guy catching a Hallobat in Alaska in a rubber dingy. He was hoping to catch Angry Hall (an 300lb Hallabat) He was towed around the bay by an oversized Flounder on a hand line. His main concern was the Whales. IDIOT. This is a guy called Mat Watson who does extreme fishing here in NZ. If you hunt him down on Ytube you will see him jump out of a hellicopter and catch a Marlin with his bare hands. He is known as Ganett Man.

It's a blast! Just make sure you take some sorta anti-motion sickness stuff. And start taking it 1-2 days before you go offshore so it is in your system.
