  • 2007 Mercedes E350

Yesterday I did a full interior and exterior detail on a Mercedes E350. Here was my process:

    Exterior:
    Wash with Hyper Wash
    Body Solvent on tough bugs
Wheels with Wheel Brightener (outside and inside of wheels were cleaned)
Tires and Wheel wells with APC with foaming sprayer
Clay with Mild Blue Clay bar and Last Touch
    Ultimate Compound to remove swirls
    M20 as an LSP
Quik Wheel Detailer on water spots on wheels
    All Season Dressing on Tires
    Hyper Dressing on exterior trim
    D Line Glass Cleaner
Wheel wells dressed with Hyper Dressing

    Interior:
    Vacuum
Bissel LGM with APC+ on carpets and floor mats
    M39 on all interior plastics
    M40 on all interior plastics
D Line Leather Cleaner and Conditioner
Quik Interior Detailer on wood trim and other non-dressed areas
    D Line Glass Cleaner

    Before:

    Diritier than I thought

    Swirls!

    Clay

    After:

The dark spot are just areas I couldn't thoroughly extract water from (hadn't cleaned the plastic yet on the side)

Got the inside as best as I could without taking the wheel off

    Thanks for looking

I once put swirls in my paint just to see what it looked like.

    I don't always detail cars, but when I do, I prefer Meguiar's.
    Remove swirls my friends.

Nice work Andrew, the paint really pops.

How are you liking the All Season Dressing? I was thinking about getting some but I have too much Hot Shine Tire Gel for tires and Natural Shine for trim.

      again, nice work.

I Like ASD for customers because it is cheaper than using normal consumer line dressings, but it is also nice and shiny. I personally will use either Hot Shine Gel or Endurance Gel (high gloss) But ASD is just as shiny as those, but probably doesn't last as long.

Hi Andrew,Really good job. It's a nice machine too.Although I see plenty here,I don't see many in that color. That color really suits it well.

I have similair swirls. Was it your choice to use ultimate compound because of the hardness of the clear coat?

Andrew, Great work once again. That is a great color. It really pops when it is all cleaned up. Way to go.

Looks really good. BTW...How do you like that bissell machine compared to standard APC and a brush?

I tried D151, followed by Scratch X 2.0, and they still weren't cutting it because the clear was too hard. So I was gonna go to M105, but figured why not give UC a shot and it worked great!

Adam, the Bissel LGM works amazing. I have some pictures of another interior detail I did with the LGM, and you will be amazed at what it pulled out of the carpets, look for it when I post it tomorrow.

As for APC+ and a brush, I still do that. I actually spray the carpet first with APC+, agitate with a brush, them spray with LGM hot water and extract.

I once put swirls in my paint just to see what it looked like.
