  • VW Headlight Restoration

This car is 5 years old and already showing deterioration of the Headlights.
Not to bad but it's a friends car and I wanted to make it new again for her.
Detailed it a few weeks ago and finished the job by doing her lights.

    Wet-sanded with Unigrit 1000, 2000 & 3000
M105 on a synthetic wool pad
    PlastX on a foam pad

Just used a few drops of M105

Used a little more than a few drops of PlastX-X

AAAA the fruit of my labor

About 30 mins on one, learning how it was going to react.
About 15-20 mins on the second one, sanded about 10 mins and polished for 5-7.
          About a hour total

              Nice work Mario,

The best part is by far the license plate haha

I once put swirls in my paint just to see what it looked like.

              I don't always detail cars, but when I do, I prefer Meguiar's.
              Remove swirls my friends.

Great work again Mario!Couldn't believe the condition after only five years.Although not bad, you'd expect to still be looking new.

I'm going to be doing this myself soon.I've got a nasty scratched front indicator(when some idiot cut me on a bend, and then drove off).So your post is useful.

                      Good 'ol PlastX!!!!

I'll need to get to grips with this little camera. You do good pics aswell.
