  • Polished my SILVER SRT-4

This past weekend I finally had a chance to polish my silver paint. I would especially notice the swirls at gas stations with the over head lamps in the canopys and it would drive me insane. It was tough to spot the swirls if you weren't looking out for them so besides wanting to remove them I wanted the clarity in the paint along with the wetness. So here is what I did.

    - Polished with M105 on a W-8006 pad and Rotory
    - M205 on a W-8006 and the G110
    - Topped with NXT 2.0

It was tough to photograph the swirls so this is what I got, it was alot worse then this

Here is the M105 on the rotory

The defects were removed with no problem

I was really digging the wetness and this is just after M105 on the rotory

The wing needed to come off so I could be able polish the whole trunk lid.

These shots are after the M205 on the G110. Even before the LSP the paint looked amazing.

These shots are after NXT 2.0. I tried to get some sun shots but all month long it seemed to be hidden bu gloomy clouds

The tail lights were also polished

I had a tear on the seat. Some M105 on the G110 took care of it.

    After

This detail was well over due on the paint. Oh and I was kidding about the M105 on the seat. I had the vinyl repaired by someone else. Thanks all for checking this out.

Thanks Nick. Awe man, I know you know how much paint that is. Hopefully soon when I know I have a whole weekend free. The good thing is that it doesn't have many swirls.

Thanks Eddie. Yeah I was afraid the tear was going to get bigger so I had it taken care of sooner than later. Looks alot better than before.

            i) I feel you man. Drives me crazy when I see IS under the station's lights. People stare at me (seriously) when I go around my car looking at the paint.

ii) I was like "what? m105 to fix tear on vinyl? ". But after reading the last part

The SRT looks great. Perfect indeed (from the pictures).

Thanks Tim. LOL! I would do the same thing. Walked around the car while gas is pumping. The paint really did come out about 97% swirl free. I went all around it with the light, shop lights and whatever sun light I could steal. What's killing me is the front of the car which has some pitting and rock chips. Hopefully I have enough funds to try and get the front end repainted.
