I am in the middle of detailing my car as I type this and I have a piece of chrome on the rear hatch that has got a few swirls in it. It isn't metal but plastic and I am unsure of what to use. I have got plastx and chrome polish and also other polishes for the paint... what do I use? Thank you.

Try the PlastX or a very mild paint cleaner (SwirlX, #80). -

I agree with Joe. Generally speaking, plastic/chrome suffers from indentations or dents, as well as scrapes, but it really can't be corrected. If you go chasing after them you may end up worse off than when you started.Comment

I think that is the case.I don't think you can do anything with it.It's so thin and soft,it'll either scratch more or rub off.
