  • wet sanding

    i have some clear coat overspray on my hood of my truck, what sand paper would be the right choice to wet sand with? will a da polisher, polish out the scratches with a cut pad with m105?

    Before you pull out the sandpaper...

    1) What type of overspray is it, and where did it come from ? Just trying to determine what type of "clear coat" it is....

    2) Have you tried clay yet ?

      its clear coat overspray, the guy i purchased the truck from owns a body shop and seems like he parked it close by where they were spraying. ive tried clay bar, it didnt work at all..

              Anyway the guy who you bought the truck from could buff it out using a rotary ? That would be the best

              Then you could come back with your D/A and make it look really nice...

                  I've normaly found that overspray comes off okay with the normal clay.I don't know if time is a factor?
