Re: Which Motor Oil Do you Prefer?
Well, I have never pulled an engine apart to look at what happens inside after using a particular kind of oil for a few years. However, after my first second oil change on my brand new Toyota Tacoma I switched to Castrol Syntec full synthetic plus a Lubegard additive for the engine oil.
I used to pull a long hill going to work each day and before the oil change, my truck would shift out of overdrive before reaching the top of that hill. After changing the oil and putting the additive in the engine it would stay in overdrive all the up to the top of the hill. Indicating to me, it had either more horsepower, or less friction.

Pennzoil Platinum 5/30 in both my Tacoma and Explorer. I am not really sure why but I have always used Pennzoil.

Pennzoil Platinum is a great oil. Pennzoil yellow bottle is excellent for 5K intervals. Amsoil *I* think is the better of the long drain interval oils.
Really cant go wrong with any of todays oils. Any SM oil will get you 5K/6 month intervals, which is the new 3K/3month routine2008 Toyota Corolla 5-spd
