G110 and PC 7424XP same price...recommendations needed

    G110 and PC 7424XP same price...recommendations needed

    In a nutshell here's the deal. I'm aware of the details (specs) about both the G110 and the PC 7424XP. I can get either of them for the close the the same price (within' $5) and I need to make a decision. I'm getting either:

    G110 with (5) Lake Country pads
    (have to drive 30 mins. to get G110 but pads will be shipped to my house)

    or

    PC 7424XP with (5) Lake Country pads and a backing plate for the pads
    (PC, backing plate and pads will be shipped right to my house)


    I was SUPER set on getting the G110 but because I know the XP is so comparably close and I wouldn't have to drive anywhere to pick it up I'm thinking maybe this is better for me because I'm fairly busy with all sorts of things.

    Basically, is the G110 worth the 15-30 min. drive...instead of the XP?

    I've seen theads comparing etc and I hope I'm not p!ssing anyone off by starting this thread but I just don't want to get any regrets

    The G110 has different ergonomics than the XP, that's the only thing I can really think of at the moment.

    Help. I'm hoping to place my order tomorrow preferably. Thanks.

    P.S. - some people might find me petty but oh well :P

    Did you look at www.AutoDetailingSolutions.com for their combo deals on the G110? You could have it shipped from them, too.

    As for which one to go with, I only have the G110 (which I love), so I can't really comment on the XP. Sorry, and good luck!

      dont forget....if you get a G110 and something happens to it, you have tech support RIGHT HERE to help you correct the problem, as with the PC youd have to ship it out and it looked at. So that ease of thought is nice too

        what prices have you found? the ADS deal is usually best out there

          The XP has a 3 year warranty, and PC has a reputation for being bulletproof. The XP also costs less. Just some things to consider.

          Coastal Tool has the XP for $109, and it comes with 5 and 6 inch counterweights.

            Get the G110.

            The XP is no different/better.

            Basically they just tried to make the old PC look like the G110.

            Same Motor, weight, etc.

            Get a package from Auto Detailing Solutions, don't just get the machine.

              The OP is in Canada, and ADS doesn't ship to Canada (unless that was just chemicals). Both machines are so comparably close in power and specs, I don't really think it's worth a 30 minute drive to get one over the other.

                Isn't the XP supposed to be more powerful than the G110?

                I once put swirls in my paint just to see what it looked like.
                I don't always detail cars, but when I do, I prefer Meguiar's.
                Remove swirls my friends.

                  Ya I'm in Canada so ADS = no go. I think I'm just gonna get the XP so I can just get everything from the same place. That way I can just be lazy and let it get shipped to my house. I'd have to drive to get the G110 or pay an extra $15 to get it shipped to me.
